Welcome to my academic homepage. I am Víctor Serrano, a researcher and educator dedicated to the field of physical activity and sports performance (Actividad Física & Rendimiento Deportivo) within the Department of Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte. My academic journey is driven by a deep passion for understanding the human body in motion, optimizing athletic performance, and promoting health through physical exercise across the entire lifespan. Through my work, I strive to bridge the gap between theoretical sports science and practical training methodologies to help individuals—from elite athletes to school-aged children—reach their full physical and motor potential.
My research portfolio covers a diverse range of topics, including combat sports science—such as investigating strength production and force-velocity profiles in judo and wrestling—as well as the development of motor competence and dual-task coordination in pediatric populations. Additionally, I am highly committed to studying active aging, cardiovascular fitness, and the impact of tailored exercise interventions on the cognitive and physical health of older adults.
